Religion: How Much is Too Much?

Hello,
Welcome to the first day of my spring break, on which day I plan to sleep, read, sing, play, eat and sleep. Nice? Oh, yeah! Sooooooooo nice. :D
Here's what I've been thinking about: When I talk to other people about religion, do I get to excited or come across in a too intense kind of way? I'm passionate about what I believe, sure (especially when it's about my Jesus), but do I get so excited that turn off the person that I'm talking to? Do make them feel like I think I know everything or have all the answers? What can I do better when I talk to other people about what I believe?
So, that's what I've been thinking about. How 'bout you? Are you intense about what you believe and do you tell others how important it is to you?

Hey Sara!
The guest pastor actually talked about this topic on Sunday! ~that's so neat! He was focusing on sacrificial giving, but the same concept applies. We stand out because to others, what we are & what we are doing with our lives, our money, etc. is excessive & crazy to them. He used the example of Mary in Bethany who broke her alabaster bottle of perfume on Jesus. (Mark 14) The disciples & everyone decried her for it & the "waste." After all, it was a year & a half of earnings! About $90,000 worth in today's money! Wow! As Jesus said, people all over the world are still talking about Mary & her excessive act to this day. It's great that you have a zeal for God- what a sign of His true love in you! :D

Hi Nicole,
It's really cool about Mary, I just taught that in Sunday School this week and hadn't thought to apply it to myself. Hm. That could be a problem. ;)
Thanks very much for the encouragement.
